At 8 years old I was a shoeshine boy at the Saratoga Racetrack. I did this to feed my family, as my mom was an alcoholic. I also collected cans and bottles for five cent deposit, and also shoveled snow. I guess this is where the entrepreneurship began. From age 12 I ran away from home to escape the constant cycle of physical, mental and emotional abuse. I lived with my grandparents and had a "normal" life for a few years. They put me in sports and I excelled. I was a standout in Football, Wrestling & Track & Field.
My grandparents kicked me out at 15 because I began to dabble in gang activity. I went back to live at my moms at the public housing, and started dealing crack and being involved with more gang activity. I spent many of the following years associated with with some members of the 5% Nation of Islam. That was my family as they welcomed me in and accepted me.
From the Ages of 18-23, I attended Adirondack Community College and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Both times majoring in TV/Radio Broadcast/Production. I am the Grandson of a Mason. I am Christian by birth and By choice, but I also respect and observe Universal Energy and Universal Law. I believe in Second Chances. I had 4 children by age 18.
I now have 5 children and 3 Grandchildren. I am now focused on Family Legacy, advocating against domestic abuse, and giving back to the community that reflects where I grew up.
